How do I place an order?
Please place your order through our online store www.melbourneglasswarehire.com.au. In the cart section, include relevant details such as the event date, preferred delivery and pickup days, and any other important instructions to ensure a smooth drop-off and collection.
All prices are listed on our website. If your order is under $150.00 AUD, a shipping fee (if applicable) will be calculated at checkout. A security bond is required for most orders, and any applicable shipping fees may be included in the total bond amount.
At checkout, you can complete your order using your preferred payment method. Please note that full payment is required at the time of booking. Before finalizing your order, double-check your contact details, including your name, email address, delivery address, delivery date, and contact phone number.
Is a security bond required to hire glassware?
Yes, a security bond is required and varies depending on the order amount. The maximum security bond is currently $50.00 AUD for orders over $150.00 AUD. For orders under this amount, the bond is calculated at checkout. The security bond must be paid at the time of ordering.
Note: The security bond and shipping fee (if applicable) may be combined into a single charge, as shown in the examples below:
For an order of $120.00 AUD:
o Standard Drop-off & Collection (Ground, Street Level) = $40.00 AUD
o Security Bond (Refundable) = $40.00 AUD
For an order of $150.00+ AUD:
o FREE Drop-off & Collection (Ground, Street Level)
o Security Bond (Refundable) = $50.00 AUD
Do you offer delivery and collection? What is the cost?
Yes, we provide delivery and collection services. Orders over $150.00 AUD qualify for Free delivery and collection within our designated delivery zone.
If you are unsure whether your location is within our delivery area, please check our delivery zone areas Delivery Zones Page or contact us for assistance.
For orders under $150.00 AUD, delivery and collection fees are automatically calculated at checkout. If your event is outside our standard delivery zone, please contact us for a customized delivery and pickup quote.
Does someone need to be present at the time of delivery?
Not necessarily. If no one is available at the delivery location, we can leave the order in a safe place with your prior authorization. The glassware must be collected from the same location where it was delivered.
After drop-off, we will send you a text message with a photo of the exact delivery location.
How will I know the delivery date and time?
We will contact you 2–3 days before your scheduled delivery to confirm the exact date, time window, and delivery address via email. If you need to make any changes, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Typically, we deliver the glassware the day before your event and collect it the following day. However, if you require same-day delivery, please let us know in advance.
Where are you located?
We are based in Melbourne CBD and operate exclusively as a delivery and pick-up service. To keep our prices competitive, we do not have a physical storefront at this time. We also do not use postal services or third-party couriers.
For orders over $150.00 AUD, we provide FREE delivery and collection.
Do I have to wash the glassware?
No, you do not need to wash the glassware. However, we kindly ask that you rinse each glass to remove any residue and place them upright in the provided glass racks. This helps prevent spills and ensures the glassware remains protected during transport.
Rest assured, we thoroughly wash and sanitize all glassware before and after each hire to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
What happens if I break or lose glassware or equipment?
We understand that accidents happen, but to maintain the quality of our glassware and keep prices fair for all customers, any lost or broken items will be charged according to our Terms of Hire.
Breakage & Replacement Costs:
· The cost for broken or missing glassware ranges from $3.50 to $7.00 per unit, depending on the type of glass.
· Storage boxes that are lost or damaged incur a replacement fee of $200 per box.
· Any additional charges for breakages or losses will be deducted from your security bond, and if the cost exceeds the bond amount, you will be invoiced for the balance.
We encourage careful handling of our glassware and recommend storing it upright in the provided racks to prevent damage. If you have any questions regarding breakages, please refer to our Terms of Hire or contact us directly.
